International Center for Technology Assessment

The International Center for Technology Assessment (ICTA) is a nonprofit organization that helps people around the world understand and make decisions about technology. They do this by researching and collecting information about new and existing technologies and then using that information to help groups make informed choices. They might, for example, investigate the environmental effects of a new farming technology and then help farmers decide whether or not to use the technology. ICTA also works to protect people's rights in relation to technology, such as the right to privacy.
