International Centre for Underutilised Crops

The International Centre for Underutilised Crops is like a big group of important people who work together to make sure that plants that aren't used as much as other plants are kept safe and can be used in the future.

You know how sometimes you might pick an apple or a banana to eat? But did you know that there are lots of other fruits and vegetables in the world that some people might not know about or might not use as much?

These plants might be really special because they can grow in places where it's hard to grow other plants, or they might be really healthy to eat, or they might help the environment in some way. But if people don't care for these plants and make sure they stay healthy, they could go away forever and we might never be able to enjoy them again or find out why they were so special in the first place.

That's why the International Centre for Underutilised Crops is so important. They help people learn about and take care of these plants so that they can be used in the future and help people all over the world.
