International Council of Nurses
Do you remember when you played house with your friends and you pretended to be a mommy or daddy, and you took care of your pretend babies? Well, there are some grown-up people who do that for real every day. They're called nurses.
But did you know that there's a group of people who help nurses all over the world? They're called the International Council of Nurses, or ICN for short.
The ICN is like a big team of people who help nurses to do their job better. They want to make sure that all nurses everywhere have the things they need to do the best job they can. They help nurses in different countries to work together and learn from each other, so that they can take care of people better.
For example, the ICN might help nurses in one country figure out how to treat a certain disease better, and then they will share that knowledge with other nurses around the world so they can do the same. They also help nurses to have a voice and speak up for what they need, like more training or better equipment.
So, even though the ICN might seem like a group of grown-up people talking about boring stuff, they're actually making sure that nurses all over the world can help take care of people better. And that's really important!
