International Federation of Married Catholic Priests

The International Federation of Married Catholic Priests is an organization made up of married Catholic priests from all around the world. These priests are different from most Catholic priests, who are not allowed to get married.

The organization was created to help these married priests feel supported and connected to each other, as they often face unique challenges within the Church. They might experience discrimination from other members of the Church who believe that priests should remain celibate (not get married).

The organization also advocates for change within the Catholic Church, with the goal of allowing all priests to choose whether or not they want to get married. This is a controversial topic within the Church, with some people believing that priests should remain celibate in order to better focus on their calling to serve God.

In summary, the International Federation of Married Catholic Priests exists to support and connect married priests, and to advocate for the Catholic Church to allow all priests to get married if they choose to do so.
