International Organization for Standardization

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a group of experts from around the world who make sure different things from different countries all meet the same standards. For example, cars from Japan and France should have the same standards for things like their wheels, steering, brakes, and windshield wipers. That way someone from one country can drive a car from another country without worrying about the car not working correctly.
