ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

International Society of Automation

International Society of Automation, also known as ISA, is a club for grown-ups who work with technical stuff. It's like a big group of people who like to learn and share information about how machines and systems work, especially in factories or other industrial places.

Think of ISA like a big playground for adults who like to play with machines. Just like how you have rules when you play on a playground, ISA has rules too. Their rules say that you have to be nice to everyone and not break anything.

When you join ISA, you get to meet other grown-ups who play with machines every day, and they teach you new things about different machines and how they work. You can ask them questions and talk to them about your ideas.

ISA also has classes to teach you even more about machines and systems. You can learn about things like how to make machines work better, how to keep them safe, and how to make them do exactly what you want them to do.

Everyone who is part of ISA helps each other out, and they all work together to make better machines and systems that are safer and more efficient. So, just like how you play nice with your friends on the playground, grown-ups in ISA play nice with each other and work together to make cool machines!
