International Stuttering Awareness Day

International Stuttering Awareness Day is a special day where people from all over the world come together to talk about and understand stuttering.

Now, you might be wondering, what is stuttering? Well, stuttering is when the words that come out of your mouth don't come out smoothly. Sometimes words will repeat, get stuck or have a long pause between them. It can happen to anyone, but it usually happens more often to some people.

So, why is there a special day for stuttering? It's important to talk about stuttering because there are so many people who have this issue and it can be tough for them to talk to other people. A lot of people who stutter get teased or bullied because of it.

International Stuttering Awareness Day helps to bring attention to the issue of stuttering and to help educate people about it. There are events held all over the world, where people can learn more about stuttering, talk to people who stutter and celebrate the progress made in helping people who stutter communicate better.

On this day, people are also encouraged to wear purple in support of people who stutter. So, this day is all about spreading awareness, understanding and support for people who stutter.
