International legal theory

International legal theory is a branch of law that looks at how different nations and countries interact with each other. It looks at how different laws apply to relationships between countries, and how those laws might be different from the laws within any one country. In essence, it tries to figure out the "rules" that govern relations between countries, so everyone knows how to behave with each other.
