Internet fraud

Internet fraud is when someone breaks the law by using the internet to steal from people. It could mean someone hacks into your computer and takes money from your bank account, or someone steals your personal information (like your credit card number) to buy things with it or to open new credit lines in your name. Fraudsters will also create fake websites to trick people into giving up their personal information and money. It's important to be careful when you are online, so you don't get tricked by the fraudsters.
