Interstellar communication

Interstellar communication is like when two people who are really far away from each other try to talk to each other. Usually when we talk to people, we do it by making sound, or sending messages in our phones. But since two people who are far away from each other can't hear each other's voices and can't send messages like through a phone, we need other methods of communication. We use something called radio waves to send messages. If something sends out a radio wave, then it can be received by a device that can "listen" for radio waves. That device can then make the message readable, kind of like how a phone can turn your words into text. Astronomers use radio waves to send messages to planets and other far away places in space.
