Interstitial webpage

An interstitial webpage is like a big sign that pops up in front of the webpage you were looking at. It usually happens when you're trying to go from one webpage to another webpage.

It's like when you and your friends are playing a game and you move from one level to another level, but before you can play the next level, a big sign with a message pops up on your screen. It usually says something like "Do you want to continue?" or "Would you like to sign up for our newsletter?"

These big signs are called interstitial webpages. They're called "interstitial" because they're in-between two things - in this case, they're in-between the webpage you were looking at and the webpage you want to go to.

Sometimes, interstitial webpages have important information that you need to know before you can continue on to the next webpage. Other times, they're just ads or promotions for things like sales or new products.

But some people don't like interstitial webpages because they can be annoying or get in the way of what you were trying to do. That's why some websites don't use interstitial webpages at all, or they try to make them as small and unobtrusive as possible.
