Invariant estimator

An invariant estimator is a type of mathematical formula that you can use to find out what the average value of something is. To find the average value of something, you add up all of the different values and then divide by how many values there were. An invariant estimator does the same thing, but it doesn't matter if the order of the values changes, it will still calculate the average value in the same way.
