Invariant measure

An invariant measure is like a number, like how one can count how many apples are in a bowl. Instead of counting apples, the invariant measure counts how the different elements in something are related to each other. For example, when we look at a map and point out different cities and towns, the invariant measure counts how close each one is to the other.
