Inverse element

An inverse element is like a puzzle piece that fits together with another piece. The most common example is multiplication, where the inverse element of a number is its "opposite" (or the number that when multiplied together, produce 1). For example, the inverse element of 7 is 1/7. This means if you multiply 7 and 1/7 you get 1, which is the "opposite" of multiplication.
