ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inverted nun

Okay, so imagine you are playing with some building blocks and you make a tower by stacking them on top of each other. Now, the inverted nun is a special way of stacking the blocks where you first put one block on the bottom and then another block on top of it but turned in a different direction, almost like making the shape of a letter "L". Then you keep adding more blocks on top, alternating the direction of the blocks each time like this "L" shape.

Now, why is it called "inverted nun"? Well, in some religions, nuns wear special clothes that cover their heads and bodies. When you look at the shape of the inverted nun, it kind of looks like the shape of the top part of the nun's clothes. And since the shape is upside down, it is called "inverted" which means the opposite of how it should be.

So, in summary, the inverted nun is a way of stacking building blocks where the blocks are turned in different directions each time. It got its name because the shape looks similar to the top part of a nun's clothing, but upside down.
