ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Invoice

An invoice is a special piece of paper that grown-ups use when they want to buy or sell something. It tells you how much money you have to give or receive for what you bought or sold. It's like a grocery shopping list, but instead of "bananas" or "milk", it has the things that were bought or sold, like a toy or a service.

The invoice also has important information like the name of the person or the company that bought or sold something, the date the transaction happened, and how they will pay the money, like with cash, credit card, or bank transfer.

Just like when you receive a birthday gift, and your mom tells you to say thank you, the grown-up who receives the invoice has to confirm that they received it and that they will pay the money as soon as possible.

In summary, an invoice is a special paper that helps grown-ups keep track of things they sell or buy, how much money they have to receive or give, and when it should be paid.
