Iraq and weapons of mass destruction

Iraq is a country in the Middle East. The leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, wanted to make sure that Iraq was protected so he created a lot of weapons called Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). These are weapons that are so powerful they can do a lot of damage to people and places. But it was against the rules and other countries were very scared that Iraq would use the weapons to hurt them. So the United Nations (UN) sent in troops to search Iraq and get rid of any WMD they found. They did not find any in Iraq but some people still think they might be hidden somewhere.
