Irish language in Newfoundland

Hey little buddy! Do you know what the Irish language is? It's a special way of speaking - like how some people speak French or Spanish. Did you know that in Newfoundland, there are some people who still speak Irish?

A long time ago, lots of people from Ireland moved to Newfoundland to live and work. They brought their language with them, and it became an important part of their culture. But over time, fewer and fewer people spoke Irish, and it started to fade away.

Now, there are only a very small number of people in Newfoundland who still speak Irish. But some groups are working hard to keep the language alive. They teach classes for kids and adults, and hold events where people can come together and practice speaking Irish.

The Irish language is special to the people who speak it, and it's important to preserve their culture and history. Even though it's not as common as it used to be, the Irish language is still alive in Newfoundland, and that's pretty cool!
