ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Islah

Okay kiddo, "Islah" is a word from Arabic language which means "reform". It is a concept that means trying to improve and make things better. Just like when you try to make your room cleaner or make better choices during problem-solving games with your friends, you are trying to do islah.

In Islam, islah means trying to improve oneself, society, and the world. It involves changing bad habits, treating people kindly, standing up for what is right, and making efforts to make the world a better place. It can be done in different ways, such as donating money to help those in need, volunteering to help others, spreading positivity, and promoting peace and harmony.

People who practice islah believe that it is important to be a good person and do good things, as it will help them be happier, and create a better world for everyone.
