Islamic Modernism

Islamic Modernism is a way of thinking about the Islamic religion in modern times. It is similar to Reform Judaism and Christian Modernism – different faiths trying to understand the teachings according to their beliefs in the modern world. Islamic Modernism is focused on finding a balance between the traditional Islamic beliefs and values and the changes and discoveries in our world today. It looks for ways to connect new ideas with traditional Islamic ideas in order to bring about changes that will help Muslims better understand and practice their faith in the modern world.
