Islamic views on Jesus' death

Okay kiddo, so in Islam, Jesus is a very important prophet, but they believe that he wasn't crucified and didn't die like the Christians believe. Muslims believe that someone who looked like Jesus was put on the cross in his place, but Jesus himself was taken up to heaven by God. This is because Muslims believe that God wouldn't allow one of his prophets to be killed in such a cruel way. So even though Jesus is important to both Christians and Muslims, they have different beliefs about what happened to him at the end.
