Isolation to facilitate abuse is when a person isolates or cuts someone off from their friends and family in order to control them and make it easier to abuse them. This can happen in many ways, such as the person not letting the other person talk to their friends or family, taking away their phone, not letting the person leave their house, or even threatening them so they don't talk to anyone else. By doing this, the abuser can gain power over the other person and make it easier for them to abuse the person physically, mentally, or emotionally.
