Italian Empire

The Italian Empire was a group of countries ruled by Italy from 1861 to 1947. It began when Italy declared itself a nation and was ruled by a king. The Italian Empire included the countries of Italy, Libya, and parts of Ethiopia, Albania, and Somalia. Italy wanted to make all of these countries part of their empire so they could be powerful and have access to all the resources of the countries. Italy built lots of buildings, roads, and cities to support their empire. Eventually, the Italian Empire fell apart due to World War II, and Italy and all of the countries in the empire became independent once again.
