Italian Tunisians

Italian Tunisians are people who have a connection to both Italy and Tunisia. Italy is a country in Europe, and Tunisia is a country in North Africa. People who have ancestors from Italy and Tunisia or who were born in Tunisia but have Italian heritage are called Italian Tunisians.

When Italy ruled over Tunisia from 1910 to 1956, many Italian people moved there and made Tunisia their home. Over time, they married Tunisians and had children who became Italian Tunisians. They speak both Italian and Arabic, which is the main language in Tunisia.

Italian Tunisians have a unique culture and celebrate both Italian and Tunisian holidays. They also enjoy traditional Italian and Tunisian foods, such as pizza and couscous.

Today, there are still many Italian Tunisians living in Tunisia and abroad. They continue to share their heritage with others and keep their traditions alive.
