Italian cuisine

Italian cuisine is the food that people in Italy eat. It is very famous all around the world because it's delicious and has lots of different kinds of food. Let's start with pasta. Have you ever eaten spaghetti or macaroni? These are types of pasta, which is made from dough and comes in many different shapes and sizes. Italians eat pasta in many ways – with tomato sauce, cheese, seafood, meat, veggies, and more.

Next up is pizza. Pizza is a flatbread covered with sauce, cheese, and toppings. Italians like to put all sorts of things on top of their pizzas – from tomatoes and mushrooms to olives and sausage. Pizza was invented in Italy many years ago, but now people all over the world eat it.

There's also gelato – an Italian type of ice cream that is very creamy and smooth. It comes in many different flavors like chocolate, strawberry, and pistachio.

Another famous Italian dish is lasagna. This is a layered dish made with flat noodles, cheese, and tomato sauce. It's so yummy!

Lastly, Italians really like to use fresh herbs and vegetables in their cooking. Basil, rosemary, oregano, and thyme are some of the herbs that are often used in Italian cuisine. Tomatoes, garlic, onions, bell peppers, and eggplants are also very common.
