Italian front (World War I)

During World War I, there was a big fight between two groups of countries - the Allied Powers (which included Italy, Britain, France, Russia, and the United States) and the Central Powers (which included Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire).

The Italian Front was a really important part of this fight, because it was where Italy was fighting against the Central Powers.

The Italian Front was a big mountainous area that was really hard to fight in! The mountains made it difficult for soldiers to move around, and both sides had to fight in really tough conditions.

Italy joined the war in 1915, and the fighting on the Italian Front continued until 1918.

Lots of people died in the fighting on the Italian Front, and both sides suffered major losses. In the end, the Allied Powers were successful and the Central Powers surrendered.
