J-CATCH

J-catch is a very special way of catching a ball in baseball. It's named after a very famous baseball player named Johnny Bench who was really good at catching the ball this way.

Normally when you catch a baseball, you use a glove to catch it and trap the ball inside the glove. But with J-catch, you catch the ball with your bare hand!

To do J-catch, you have to make your hand look like the letter "J." You stick out your little finger and ring finger and curve them upwards, while keeping your other fingers straight. So your hand looks like a hook or a claw.

Then, when the ball is coming towards you, you position your J-catch hand just right so that the ball lands in the curve of your fingers. It takes a lot of practice to get it just right, but when you do, you can catch the ball super fast and throw it back to the pitcher really quickly too.

J-catch is a really cool way to catch a ball, but it's also pretty hard to do. So if you want to try it, make sure you practice a lot and get really good at catching first!
