J. S. G. Boggs

JSG Boggs was an artist who made famous looking works of art out of paper money. He would draw images on paper money that looked like real money, like a dollar bill or a five euro note, and then try to use them in stores, cafes, and other places. He was trying to show that money was just a piece of paper that has been given value by people. By using his art money instead of real money, he was showing that you could use something other than money, like a piece of art, to buy things. He hoped to make people think about how society uses money and the power it has over us.
