Jacques Cousteau

Jacques Cousteau was a famous explorer and scientist who loved being in the water. He was born in France in 1910 and loved to swim and explore the ocean. He invented a lot of tools and devices that allowed him to explore the ocean more, like the aqua-lung, which let people breathe underwater. He also made a lot of movies about the ocean and his adventures, and even had his own TV show. He wanted people to learn about sea life and took many pictures and videos of what he found. He dedicated his life to exploring and preserving the ocean, and his work showed the world how important oceans are to us. He died in 1997, but his work and ideas live on.
