Jain Agamas (Śvētāmbara)

So, you know how different people believe in different things, right? Well, there are some people called Jains who believe in a set of teachings called the Jain Agamas. The Jain Agamas are like really old books that tell Jains how to live a good life.

Now, some Jains are called Śvētāmbara and they follow a specific set of these teachings. They believe that the Jain Agamas were passed down from the first Jain teacher to his followers through spoken word until they were finally written down on a bunch of palm leaves.

These Śvētāmbara Jains think that it's really important to follow these teachings very carefully. They even have special clothing that they wear to make sure they don't accidentally hurt any tiny bugs or insects that might be in their path.

So, basically, Jain Agamas are a really old set of teachings that some Jains follow really carefully in order to live a good life. And some of those Jains are called Śvētāmbara.
