Jambudvipa

Jambudvipa is a very long and difficult word that comes from an old language called Sanskrit. It is made up of two parts: "jambu" which means a fruit kind of like an apple or a pear, and "dvipa" which means island. So when we put the two words together, jambudvipa means "island of the jambu fruit."

Now, Jambudvipa is a special name given to a big land that is mentioned in ancient Hindu, Buddhist and Jain texts. It is said to be a land where people live according to good and kind values. Jambudvipa is believed to have many different regions and some of them are thought to be very far away from the others!

In these old stories, Jambudvipa is sometimes described as a lotus-shaped island with nine smaller islands around it, and four big mountains at its corners. They say that the sun rises in Jambudvipa's east and sets in its west. It's also said to be divided into sub-continents or regions called Bharatvarsha, Ketumala, the Uttarakuru, and Bhadrashva.

It's important to remember that these are stories from a long time ago, and whether or not Jambudvipa was an actual place is a big mystery. But it's still a special name to many people and reminds us of the importance of living good lives and treating others with kindness and respect.
