ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jaqaru language

Jaqaru language is a way of talking that some people use in a place called Peru. It's like a special code that only they can understand. People who speak Jaqaru language use different sounds and words than people who don't speak it. Just like how some kids use a secret language with their friends that only they can understand!

Jaqaru language sounds different than the language that most people in Peru speak, which is called Spanish. When people speak Jaqaru language, it can sound like they're singing because they use different pitches and tones than in Spanish.

Jaqaru language has its own words for things, like how we might call a dog a "puppy" or a "doggie." They also have their own way of putting sentences together. For example, instead of saying "I am going to the store," someone who speaks Jaqaru language might say "The store, I am going to."

People who speak Jaqaru language are called Jaqaru people, and they are very proud of their special way of talking. Even though not many people in Peru speak Jaqaru language anymore, the Jaqaru people are trying to teach it to their kids so that the language can continue to be used and understood for many years to come.
