Jennite is a type of rock - kind of like a big, hard thing that's found in the ground. It gets its name because it was first discovered in a place called Lake Jennie in Florida.
Now, jennite is what we call a mineral. Minerals are things that naturally form in the Earth and they all have different properties. Jennite is special because it's made up of a lot of different molecules that hold it together really tightly. Those molecules give jennite its strength and hardness.
People don't really use jennite for much because it's pretty rare and hard to find. But scientists like to study it because it can tell us a lot about how the Earth was formed and how different types of rocks are made.
