Jenny Slew is the name of a famous ship that set out on an important journey in 1773. It was commanded by captain James Cook and his crew of 70 people. On board the ship was a mission to explore the Pacific Ocean, a journey that lasted more than three years. They were looking for new land, new species of animals and plants, as well as trying to find a more efficient way to sail back and forth to India and the East Indies (modern day Indonesia). After travelling across the world, they went on to make South America, and eventually ended up in what is now Hawaii. The journey of the Jenny Slew was a very important one for the world and for history.
