Jizyah

Jizyah is a special tax that used to be paid by some people in the past. It was mainly paid by non-Muslims who lived in Muslim countries during a time long ago.

Just like how you might give some money to the bank or pay for something you want to buy, the people who paid jizyah would give a bit of their money to the people in charge of the Muslim government. The money was used to help pay for things like roads, schools and hospitals.

It was like a way for people who didn't believe in the Muslim religion to show that they respected the government and wanted to live peacefully with their Muslim neighbors.

Nowadays, jizyah is not practiced anymore in most countries, and everyone is treated equally no matter what their religion is. So, it's important to always treat everyone with kindness and respect, no matter what their beliefs are!
