ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jogi (caste)

Okay kiddo, so in some parts of India, people believe that there are different groups of people based on their families and jobs. Something like how in class we have children who like drawing and children who like math, etc.

One of these groups is called "jogi" (pronounced "joh-g-ee"), which means people who do certain kinds of spiritual practices and magic. It's kind of like when people go to church or temple to pray, these jogis also have practices they do to feel closer to God or the universe.

But sometimes, people use these groups or castes to treat each other unfairly or say that some people are better than others based on their families. This is not a good thing and we should always treat everyone with kindness and respect, no matter what group they come from.
