John Adams (geographer)

John Adams was a man who loved to study the Earth and everything in it. He looked at maps and measured things like the size of countries and how tall mountains were. He even went on expeditions to explore and learn more about different parts of the world.

One important thing that John Adams did was to create a special type of map called a choropleth map. This map used different colors to show how much of something there was in a particular place. For example, he might use shades of green to show how much forest there was in different parts of a country. This way, people could see at a glance where things were more or less common.

John Adams was also very interested in something called political geography, which looked at how countries and borders were created and changed over time. He studied things like international treaties and historical events to understand why countries looked the way they did on maps.

Overall, John Adams was a man who loved to learn about the Earth and used maps and geography to help people understand it better.
