ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Joint Consultation, Command and Control Information Exchange Data Model

Okay kiddo, imagine you and your friend want to build a sandcastle together. You both need to discuss what kind of castle you want to build and how you will do it. This is what we call joint consultation, where two or more people work together to make a plan.

Now, as you start building the sandcastle, you may need to tell your friend what to do, like passing you a bucket or a shovel. This is like command and control, where one person is in charge and gives instructions to others.

But what if your friend sees something you don't, like a seagull about to swoop down and knock over your tower? You both need to be able to share important information with each other to avoid disasters. This is where the information exchange part comes in.

Now, from a grown-up perspective (but still pretty easy to understand), a joint consultation, command and control information exchange data model is a way for different organizations or groups to work together during a crisis or emergency situation. Think of police officers and firefighters working together during a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

This model allows them to communicate and coordinate their efforts effectively, sharing important information and making decisions together. It helps ensure that everyone is on the same page and that resources are used efficiently to achieve the best possible outcome.
