ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group

Okay kiddo, have you ever played a game where you and your friends have to work together to catch the bad guys? That's kind of like what the Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group (JTRIG) does, but instead of a game, it's real life.

JTRIG is a group of people who work for the government and their job is to keep us safe from bad people who try to do bad things online. They do this by working together with other groups and using special tools to find out what the bad guys are planning.

For example, let's say some bad people are planning to do something really mean to a website. JTRIG would find out about this before it happens and try to stop it. They might also try to find out who the bad guys are and where they live so they can be caught and punished.

JTRIG's job is very important because the internet can be a dangerous place and we need people to help us stay safe. So just like you and your friends work together to catch bad guys in your game, JTRIG works together with other groups to catch bad guys in real life.
