Okay kiddo, you know how we bury people when they pass away, right? Well, a long time ago, some people wanted to bury their loved ones in a special kind of tomb. It was shaped like a big boat and they put their loved one's coffin inside it.
But here's the really interesting part - sometimes these boat-shaped tombs had room for more than one coffin. So different people could be buried together in the same tomb! This was called a joint tomb.
Now, you might be wondering why they would do this. Well, sometimes families or friends wanted to be buried together so they could stay close even in death. Other times, important people like kings or pharaohs would want to be buried with their servants or family members as a sign of respect.
So imagine a big boat-shaped tomb with several coffins inside it, all decorated with beautiful designs and surrounded by precious treasures. It was truly a sight to behold!
And though we don't make these kinds of tombs anymore, we can still learn a lot about the people who made them and their beliefs and traditions. Pretty cool, huh?
