ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jointly Administered Knowledge Environment

Imagine you and your friend both have a toy box with different toys in them. Now, you want to play together but you also want to play with all the toys. So, you decide to take all the toys out of both boxes and put them in a big pile in the middle.

This big pile of toys is like a jointly administered knowledge environment. "Jointly administered" means that both you and your friend are in charge of the pile of toys and can play with them together.

Similarly, a jointly administered knowledge environment may refer to a shared space where people work together to create, access, and share information, knowledge, and resources. This shared space can include different tools, technologies, and platforms that help people collaborate and communicate with each other, no matter where they are located.

Just like how you and your friend can work together in the toy pile to create different games and stories, people in a jointly administered knowledge environment can work together to create new knowledge, solve problems, and innovate. By sharing information and resources, they can learn from each other and achieve their common goals.
