Judaea (Roman province)

Okay kiddo, are you ready to learn about Judaea?

A long time ago, there was a big empire called Rome. They had conquered many lands and ruled over them. One of those lands was called Judaea, and it was where all the Jewish people lived.

The Roman emperor wanted to keep the Jewish people under their control. So they made Judaea a province, kind of like how you have different states in our country. This meant that Judaea was ruled by Roman officials, who made all the big decisions.

But the Jewish people didn't like having the Romans tell them what to do. They wanted to be able to rule their own land and have their own religious beliefs. So they rebelled against the Romans a few times, and there were big wars.

Eventually, the Romans won and they destroyed the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. This made the Jewish people very sad, and many of them left Judaea to go live in other places. But some stayed and tried to rebuild their community.

So that's basically what happened in Judaea, a long time ago. It's an important part of history because it shows how different groups of people can have conflicts over their beliefs and who should be in charge.
