ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Judiciary of England and Wales

So, the judiciary of England and Wales is like a group of people who make sure everyone follows the rules and laws in that part of the world.

Just like how there are rules in school, like no running in the halls or no hitting others, there are rules that adults have to follow, like no stealing or hurtng other people.

If someone breaks these rules, they can get in trouble and might have to answer to the judges in the judiciary. These judges are like very important grown-up teachers who decide if someone did something wrong and what should happen to them if they did.

They have different levels of judges, like a class might have a teacher and a principal, the judiciary has different levels of judges too. They help keep everyone safe and fair in England and Wales.
