Judiciary of Scotland

Okay, so you know how there are rules that everyone has to follow? If someone breaks those rules and does something wrong, they might get in trouble. The people who decide whether someone broke the rules and what should happen to them are called judges.

In Scotland, there is a special group of judges who make up the "judiciary." These judges are really important because they help make sure that everyone is treated fairly and that the rules are enforced.

The judiciary is made up of different levels. At the highest level, there is the Supreme Court of Scotland. This is where the most serious cases are heard, like when someone is accused of a really big crime.

Lower down, there are other courts that deal with less serious cases, like traffic violations or disagreements between people. These courts are called Sheriff Courts and Justice of the Peace Courts.

When someone is accused of a crime or has a problem with someone else that they can't solve, they can go to one of these courts to get help. The judges there will listen to what everyone has to say and then make a decision about what should happen.

Overall, the judiciary of Scotland is a group of very important people who help make sure that everyone follows the rules and that everyone is treated fairly when there are problems.
