ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Junction (traffic)

A junction is a place where different roads cross or meet each other. Think of it like a big puzzle where the pieces are the roads that come from different directions.

Now, when lots of cars, trucks, and buses need to move through a junction, it becomes like a giant game of "Red Light Green Light." Traffic lights help control who should stop and who should go. These lights are like a referee in a game who tells some players to stop and other players to start playing.

Sometimes there are also signs and symbols painted on the road to help drivers understand where they should drive and which direction they should go.

So, junctions are like big intersections where a lot of roads come together, and traffic lights and signs help cars move safely through the area.
