Jungian cognitive functions

Jungian cognitive functions are different ways of thinking that everyone uses in daily life. Everyone uses all of the cognitive functions, but some people use some more than others. There are four main types of cognitive functions: Thinking, Feeling, Sensing, and Intuition.

Thinking means making decisions based on facts and logic. Feeling means making decisions based on your emotions and other people's emotions. Sensing means paying attention to things that you can see, hear, smell and feel in the present moment. Intuition means paying attention to things that aren't directly in front of you, like patterns and possibilities.

Each of us has a different way of thinking, depending on which of these functions are stronger for us. Knowing which functions are stronger can help us understand why we do things in certain ways.
