ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jyotisha

Jyotisha is a type of ancient Indian astrology that helps people figure out things like when is the best time to do something, like get married or start a new job. It's like having a super helpful friend who always has great advice for you.

Jyotisha uses something called a chart, which is like a map of the sky at the time and place where you were born. This chart tells Jyotisha experts about the position of the planets and stars, which they believe can influence our lives.

For example, if the planet Jupiter was in a certain spot when you were born, Jyotisha experts think that might mean you're going to have good luck and success in your life. Or if Saturn was in a certain spot, they might think that means you'll have to work really hard for everything you get.

Even though it's an old practice, some people still use Jyotisha today to help them make important decisions. But it's important to remember that Jyotisha is just one way to think about how the universe works, and there are many other beliefs and practices out there.
