Kalahari Basin

Kalahari basin is a very large area of land located in Southern Africa. Think of it as a big bowl with no water in it. This land is mostly covered with sand and it's so big that it's almost as big as the country of South Africa. The Kalahari basin is home to many different animals like lions, giraffes, and elephants. Some people even live there too! Without water, it can be a tough place to survive, but the animals and people have adapted to live there. Even though it's mostly sand, there are some plants that grow there too, like thorn bushes and baobab trees. So, the Kalahari basin is a really big area of land, like a giant bowl filled with sand, that has lots of different plants and animals living there!
