Karla Caves are like big rooms with lots of tiny holes in them. They are found in India, near a place called Lonavala.
A long time ago, people who followed a religion called Buddhism used to live and pray in these caves. They made the caves by carving out the rocks with big tools like hammers and chisels.
The caves have lots of cool designs on the walls and ceilings, like pictures of Buddha and his followers. Some of the designs are colorful and some are just carved into the stone.
When you go inside the caves, it's very dark and cool because they are deep inside the rocks. You have to be careful when walking around because the ground can be bumpy and uneven.
Some parts of the caves are closed off now to protect the cool designs and make sure they don't get damaged. But you can still visit and see some of the really neat carvings that the ancient people made so long ago.
