ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kashubian alphabet

Okay! So, have you heard of the Kashubian language? It's a language spoken by people living in a part of Europe near Poland in countries like Poland, Germany, and Lithuania.

Now, people who speak Kashubian wanted to have a way to write down their language using letters (just like how we write in English using the ABCs). But, the Kashubian language has some sounds that aren't included in the English alphabet.

So, what did they do? They made their own special alphabet just for Kashubian! This alphabet has 32 letters (that's more than the English alphabet!) and includes some special letters like "ł" and "ń" that aren't in English.

Now, people who speak Kashubian can write down their language using their very own special alphabet! Cool, huh?
